If you want to fly a foreign flag, you need to get permission from the local police. Permission is usually granted on the condition that the Danish flag is also flown. You must place the Danish flag in the most prominent position, which is normally on the far left flagpole or in the middle. If you have flagpoles with different heights then you must fly the Danish flag on the highest flagpole. You are not allowed to fly more than one flag on a single flagpole.
You may fly the flags of the Nordic countries’, the EU and the United Nations without special permission from the police.
