November is the month to spoil man’s best friend. Dogs are in focus with goodie bags for good boys and a chance to take them on a nature safari.
November is the month of the dog and that will be celebrated. In Hvide Sande and Søndervig, there are lots of activities for our four legged friends. Last year it only lasted one week, but this year it’s the whole month.
Every tuesday in November, our four legged friends get to go on a very special nature safari. In a specially designed bus, your entire family can enjoy the fjord, the beach, and the forest. A guide will join you for the trip and there will be competitions and games, that will activate your dog in a fun way and inspire you with new ways of engaging nature. The route starts in Hvide Sande and continues to Baggers Dam at Ringkøbing Fjord. Then it continues to the beach between Søndervig and Husby and thereafter to Husby dune plantation and the dog forrest there.
There’s also the chance to get a different kind of picture of your dog. The photoshoot will take place in either Hvide Sande or Søndervig, but the location isn’t decided in advance – the guests (and their dogs) decide. AS Visuals will do the photographing and the pictures taken can be changed into a drawn version – if you order that, of course.
Spoil your dog
In the month of the dog, there’s also room for some genuine doggie wellness. Among other locations, this takes place at Karoline’s Dog Parlour in Velling, where luxury awaits your dog. The holiday home letters Feriepartner Hvide Sande, DanWest, Esmark, and Westerland hand out goodie bags to all their guests, who bring their dogs on vacation. Among other things, these goodie bags contain unique amber pendants for your dogs collar or leash. They are handmade and consist of a pearl or a pendant with a dog on it, and pieces of North Sea amber, which were found on the beaches of the North Sea.
