Late summer at Lyngvig Lighthouse

Late summer at Lyngvig Lighthouse

Lyngvig Lighthouse is something special. Especially the late summer days where you stand on top of West Jutland and see how sun and rain make their entrance over the fjord and sea.
Every day at Lyngvig Lighthouse something special can happen and every day the lighthouse is open.

The late summer days at Lyngvig Lighthouse are sunny days where there is room for ice cream in the cozy farm environment by the old lighthouse keeper’s farm. These are days when the children play on the nature playground and these are days when the rain colors the landscape while you just follow from the top of the lighthouse. And then there are all the other fantastic days at Lyngvig Lighthouse.

For all days at Lyngvig Lighthouse, between the North Sea and Ringkøbing Fjord, are different. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking view from the top of the lighthouse, experience the cozy shop with the whimsical and fine things and take a hot cup of coffee and or a delicious cake from the café sale in the lighthouse keeper’s home. In the courtyard there are table and bench sets and plenty of space.

Lots of space and fresh air
The entire area around Lyngvig Lighthouse consists of 300 ha. protected dunes and dunes that are definitely worth a walk. Here you can be blown through by the westerly wind – and there is plenty of room for everyone!

Outside the lighthouse keeper’s residence, the nature playground with the maritime theme awaits. Here you can let the children burn gunpowder, and there are good opportunities for butterflies in the stomach when they whiz out there on the cable car, and even the best climbing monkey can be challenged when climbing around the whale skeleton.
